Renewable Energy Demand in Bangladesh
According to 2022 renewable energy data, renewable energy accounts for only 3% of Bangladesh's overall energy structure. As early as the 22nd United Nations Climate Change Conference held in Morocco in 2016, Bangladesh pledged to achieve 100% renewable energy transition by the mid-century and ensure universal energy access. Although renewable energy currently has a relatively low proportion in the energy structure, the Bangladesh government has taken active measures to promote its development, bringing broad prospects to the country's new energy market. In particular, solar power accounts for 70% of the new energy sources in Bangladesh, indicating its enormous potential in the country's energy transition.

Practice the Belt and Road Initiative in Bangladesh
This year is the tenth anniversary of not only the Belt and Road Initiative but Hexing's Bangladesh subsidiary, Forter Electrical Co. Ltd. Since entering the Bangladesh market in 1997, Hexing has supplied over six million electronic energy meters and two million smart prepaid meters for the country's power system. It has also fully upgraded four local meter production lines for local factories in Bangladesh. In 2019, with the approval of the Bangladeshi Cabinet, Hexing Group established Bangladesh Smart Electrical Co., Ltd. (BSECO), the country's first smart meter production factory, in partnership with Western Power Distribution Company. By increasing employment opportunities, facilitating technology transfer, promoting economic development, and enhancing energy management, Hexing has made positive contributions to Bangladesh's sustainable development and modernization. As Bangladesh's economy continues to thrive, the demand for electricity keeps increasing. Hexing will continue to work closely with the Bangladesh government and partners, jointly promoting the modernization and sustainable development of the country's power system, and contributing to future energy management and economic growth.
